So, my PC has been acting up for the last two or three days. Each time I started it back up all of the programs were still open, even though I clearly clicked shut down. Today however, I was browsing on chrome and decided to search up a game on Steam.

Steam stopped responding and I tried to shut it down with task manager. After clicking end task it just stood there, frozen on the second screen and I couldn't get rid of it. I suddenly couldn't open any new programs either, so I decided to restart it.

Now what was happening each time was it would get past the BIOS/UEFI prompt, and then an ASUS logo would appear, along with one of those little buffer circles.

I then tried to format the PC by selecting my USB flash drive that had windows on it to load first. I got a purple screen and a mouse pointer for a second, then blank screen. I don't know what more I can do, can anyone help?

System specs:

Motherboard - Asus Z170 Pro Gaming

GPU - Gainward GTX 1070 phoenix

CPU - i5-6600k

RAM - Ripjaws V series 8gb@3200

Secondary drives- 2x Kingston 480GB SSDs

I'm on 64bit Win10 Education.

I have simmilar problem on my PC.

Problem is that windows won't run properly after some time that makes it bug more and more.. usually i resolved it by making system backup of important windows folders on HDD and place all data on HDD that i could just run backup on SSD and solve this issue.

Try to run Linux or new Windows on that rig and confirm that hardware is working properly => If hardware's okay then you have to reinstall or repair your OS. I recommend you to make backup(s).
