Hi, i bought an i5-750 like 2 days ago and its not posting...

Specs: MB:P7H55-M SI, CPU:I3-550, RAM:2x4GB DDR3 1333MHZ, GPU:GT 730, PSU:Evga 650 Bronze

I tought that my motherboard was bad so i bought an i3-550 to test it and it works..

Have the newest BIOS for the MB, tried different channels for RAM

Plz help...

Does it boot into the BIOS?

And what is your cooler?

Clear the CMOS. Try removing the GPU and testing with the onboard video.

Never booted, i use that cooler right now for my i3-550 and it stays at 35C while gaming..., is only one way to put that cooler so yea i put it correctly.

Does it try to boot? Look at your motherboard manual and try to find a led (maybe extension) that shows the error code

It can be that the mobo version is not good for the cpu. Try to find a list of supported versions for your cpu and install that.

I saw but that can be the reason it can’t boot. The i5 750 is an old cpu and is maybe not supported on your new bios version

From which site did you download the newer bios version? Maybe it has the old one too

I would try each version from this site: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7H55M/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Especially version 0802 :D
