Got Gigabyte Aorus gaming 7

Corsair h115i 2 sp fans push 2 af fans pull

HyperX Predator 3000 cl 15 4x16

On stock speeds (with XMP profile) stable 61° on quiet mode (barely hearable)

Tried the mb predefined OC to 5 GHz and reached 91° with cooling system set to performance (and kinda loud) without thermal throttle

On 4.8/4.9 same temperatures on quiet mode

Tested with Aida64

Are those temperatures safe?

And should i oc in first place?

Delid it is!

I wouldn't run 91°C usually. I'm not as sensitive as most people since there are even people crying about low 70s sometimes but I would say 85°C syntethic load should be max.. TBH you don't have to push the last 0.1 or 0.2 GHz but no OC would be basicly a waste of money for a jerk signature on the internet that everyone could just make up basicly.

So yes you should OC in my opinion, after all you paid for a expensive MB, cooler and CPU.

Suggested fan curve and good oc guide?

I am kinda new to high end hardware

Manual oc or preset?

Manual OC for sure.

I tried that asus 5GHz profile ... just horrible. Way too much voltage.

My i5 8600k was set at 1,45V for 5GHz, but i can handle it at 1,325V just fine.

Do manual OC and you will get lower temps.

Deliding is also an option ... but more like last resort for many users.
