Need help setting up raid etc

Go to solution Solved by NotTristan,

Oh I see....

Go to the settings tab of your internet browser (lets use google chrome for this example)

click the three dots at the top right

click "settings"

scroll down and click "advanced settings"

find "downloads"

and finally click "change" and it will let you pick a new download location.

so you can make a new folder titled "Downloads" on another hard drive

Raid isn't needed at all, but can be a fast and or safe way to store data.

Hey guys,

so i've been trying to get together a new computer a while now , and after a lot of research i ordered it and it just arrived today but turns out i forgot about something , i have 2 hdd's currently running on my computer and i bought 1 ssd with the new pc ,the thing i kinda want to do is set up my os ,programs that need a lot of load on the ssd like all the people do but i want to redirect my downloads and the rest of the files on the hdd's which will hold everything else but i have no clue what raid setup should i go for for the hdd's i'm kind of scared of the raid 0 idea because i've been using this hard drive's for like 4 years now so i wouldn't try my luck with that one and how would i setup every downloads etc to get redirected on the hdd's instead of the ssd

Well let's say i put my os on the ssd and then connect the hdd's i'd have to put every file on it individually but i want my downloads etc to be redirected straight to the hdd's and not on the main drive which in this case would be the ssd
