I am researching right now for a system build with an I9 7900x, a GTX 1080Ti, and a Thermal Take Water 3.0 360mm AIO. It will all be in a Corsiar 450D case. I need help selecting a motherboard, I would like to go with ASUS so I can add on a thunderbolt card later on. There are currently three boards that fit within my budget, the ROG strix x299-E, the Prime X299A, or the TUF X299 Mark 1. This PC will be in very heavy use. I would also like to use all 6 fans that will be provided between the AIO and the Case. I know that none of these boards have six fan headers so any suggestions for a fan controller would help as well on a side note. If you have any other questions please ask! Any help is appreciated in selecting the motherboard!

what is the purpose of this machine? it would help to know that. My choice would be between the X299-A or X299-E. the Mark 1 doesn't have a visual LED code generator for diagnosing problems. but that would be MY choice. the Mark 1 has like, 10 fan headers (including water pump headers) or something like that, so if you don't want to go for a fan controller and just like the look, then perhaps you go that route instead. They all have very similar layouts and pricepoints/features... perhaps you just choose whichever you think would look best in your system and go with that.

Also, nothing against the 450D, but is there any reason you're going for that case? It doesn't have any of the mainstream fads like PSU covers, tempered glass, and so on. For its price tag you may be able to get something a lot 'better' even for less money, unless there is some specific reason you're interested in it that is.

This machine will be used for Video Editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects) and 3D rendering/modeling with Maya. I am also building this for my sister and she tends to leave her system running. Right now I am in between the Mark 1 because of the Fan headers or the X299-E because of the built in wifi and bluetooth. The Price difference between the X299-E and the Mark 1 does cover the cost of a fan controller though.

I am going with that case because for the cost, it comes with three fans of decent quality, high airflow, will fit everything I need, and has two external Drive bays. I would gladly take recommendations on a case as well!

are external drive bays something you would actually use? because you're not going to be able to use them and a 360 radiator at the same time. the rest of those features can easily be gotten in a 70 dollar case like this one (which also allows for a front mounted 360 radiator): https://pcpartpicker.com/product/h4jWGX/phanteks-eclipse-p400-tempered-glass-atx-mid-tower-case-ph-ec416ptg_bw

It comes in a variety of colours, and you can use the money saved on a USB external drive if you really needed one. and that is merely one such example.

again, nothing at all wrong with the 450D if you just love that case. Merely trying to point out there are other much "better" and less expensive cases out there

as a side note, the inwin 303 case I linked does not come with any stock fans, but you really do not need 6-7fans going in your case. it won't change anything.
