So, i have had my computer for almost a year now. But lately, it has frozen randomly while i play games. i have tried to check the heat of each component when it freezes, but nothing has been out of normal. It just leaves the latest picture on the screen, and i cant do anything but turn the computer off manually. If i had been in a call with friends, i cant hear them either. It doesnt leave any error messages.

Specs:

Im running windows 10

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700

RAM: DDR4 16GB

Motherboard:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Not the Ram or cpu, but the disk tends to be at 100%.

Which drive do you use while gaming?

Is the game using all this power (usage) or are it other programs using a lot as well?

yeah

So the game is using all this power? (If I understood correctly)

Try a windows quality check: go to all folders --> right click your disk on the left --> go to properties --> go to tools --> click check

You could also try crystaldiskinfo

and the gpu

GPU tend to work at 99% usage most of the time. Check if it's overheating or lowering the boost clock.

Download crystaldiskinfo and run a test. Check the hard disk health and SMART.

I would try download a (low gb) game on your SSD (if you have one) and look if it does the same freeze. If so we know it’s not the HDD
