I have an AMD fx 8320 (stock clock) and my r9 270x died on me a short while ago. Im going to be gaming at 1600x900, no video editing or anything of that sort. im looking to get either a 1050ti or a 1060. I realize that my processor is the bottleneck here but i dont have the budget to both upgrade my processor and get a new graphics card. Considering im not looking to upgrade anything in the near future, what do i get?

Off topic: how did you find the 270x for 900p? I’m building a PC with one for a friend but I won’t go with the card if it doesn’t run well

270x works great, most games ran at high, couldn't use ultra because its only got 2gb vram, newer games run on med-high. I get stable 50-60 fps with a few options turned down. My main use for my pc is to play DotA and dota runs at 70ish fps even with max settings and the immortal gardens terrain (basically a cosmetic which is more demanding than others). The disadvantages of the card are that it gets REALLY hot and the PC functions like a room warmer in the winter, almost unbearably hot during the summer because I live in India.

Ive a 1050ti and it does great at 1920x1080 so id say its plenty for 1600×900

I'd like to run the PS2 and PS3 emulators too, I realize that the emulators are much more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, but will a 1050ti be ok for that?
