,, Hi guys I'm a college student and I just want a nice laptop that would last me the next 4 years. I heard the Dell xps 15 is great but i have some cool concerns. There seems to be a lot of problems with it. Anybody bought one? Do you love it? Do you hate it?  Any other recommendations for a laptop?

I am actually writing this on an XPS 15 while waiting for my next college class to start, and I would recommend it. I've only had 2 minor problems:

1. The charger isn't very durable, and mine broke right before the included 1-year limited warranty ended. Dell quickly replaced it for free.

2. Not really the XPS's fault, but I left it in a hot car during the summer and the extreme heat damaged the speakers.

Otherwise, I use it for portable gaming, schoolwork, and almost everything else. The aluminum exterior and carbon-fiber interior makes it extremely durable, as it's traveled 1000's of miles via backpack, airplane, and car without any issues. Great battery life, very durable, good performance. Whenever I upgrade, i'm definitely getting another one.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

The Dell XPS 15 is all right but has problems like others have been mentioning but another great laptop that's similar is the Razer Blade Stealth 13 inch. I would rather get the Razer over the XPS.

I'd rather the XPS, due to trusting Dell's build quality a lot more than Razer's. AFAIK they have been slowly degrading in quality and dependability since 2014.

I'm just concerned about all the bad reviews. Have you had any problems with the the wifi card and screen?

The wifi issues were fixed in the months after launch. Since the base XPS design has been available for 2+ years, all the drivers are now mature and do not give me any issues whatsoever. I have the 1080p display, and that hasn't had any problems either.
