Monitor recomendations

Jbonn386

HI so my current computer in my setup is using a 1070 so graphics wise 4k is a stretch i even think 144 @1440p might be difficult to acheive.

So i am in the market hoping to pick up a monitor on Black Friday/Cyber Monday my goal is 75-100hz on a 32 inch panel. i'm not sure about ips i am a little ocd when it comes to the glow/backlight leaks.

Also not sure if at 32 inch size i should be looking at curved to avoiding angle viewing problems.

the ASUS PB328Q was one monitor i was looking at and so far its leading but hence the curved question above.

preferably i would like to keep it under 500$

Main PC = I5 7600K @4.5ghz, Asus Gtx1070, 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz, 480GB SSD, Msi Z270 Mobo.

Gaming and watching youtube/twitch/movies ect just media consumption.

I'd go for a 1440p or 1080p 144hz monitor, just because the 1070 is a great card and could most likely do 1440p 80+ fps in most games. EDIT: A 1080p 144hz monitor might not look as stunning, but it will run at a much higher frame rate.

I currently have a 24in 1080p 144hz monitor i would use as a fps shooter one but atm most of my shooter games are on XBox one just cause friends and i play single players on the comp for that graphic goodness

I wouldn't get 1440p @ 32", it's not dense enough and you're basically just getting a 24" 1080p experience.

Monoprice has a 32" 4k HDR monitor for $399. I'd get that. It's $70 cheaper than the Asus.

I don't think you need 144hz for single player then.  A good 1440p 70-100hz display will do like this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/YZn2FT/benq-monitor-gw2765ht

or another from here: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=344001440,256001440&H=60,240&X=0,44520

will do just fine.
