-- Imagine this: a side fingerprint button, but not your home or power button, not just to scan your finger and unlock the machine, but if you pressed, it will automatically open GPS > know your Location > launch that app you assign > turn off GPS and VOILÀ! just simple as dat, you launch 9gag on the toilet, facebook at your local coffee store, music app at the local park or set it to silent at the workplace!

Apple removing buttons on their phones and you talking about adding more buttons, you can assign multiple gestures on the side fingerprint button on most fingerprint phones, (slide up, down etc) but I don't see the use of opening the correct app after your location. Isnt it easier to just have the app on your homescreen?

Well it's more convenience for having a button to just pressing the button than have to unlock and go to folder and select your stuff

Well, the time it would take for the GPS to turn on, find location (inside as you also have in your mind) and then open the app would take longer, so you're not saving any time at all if there was anything like that. What you can get is NFC tags where you can assign this to open specific apps, so when you're taking a dumb you can have a NFC tag near your toilet, then you just open your phone and tap it. :)

That's actually a thing. I have it on my Honor 8. Best feature ever. I can long press, short press, or double press for different functions that I can set. Also, I can swipe down on it if I want to pull down the notification center.
