Hello ya'll, so I guess when reading through the recent backlash EA got my ranting side decided to join in on the 'fun'

You can read my post on reddit here.

I do not say/think you should/must agree with my opinion and vision on this.

Even better, I'm looking how the LTT forum look at gaming in its current state. PC/Console & mobile

Since this is all opinion, I advise anyone to treat them as such. Do not force your opinion on others, you can explain why you think it is "Z", but if he/she is 100% standing on the "X". You should let it be.

Fire your gu..n.. opinions!

like i said before games sell, lootboxes sell, microtransactions sell, day one DLC sell, pre sales on games we already know are gonna be full of this shit sell, poorly optimized games at launch sell... so why should companies that have shareholders not make money? why should they only release a game when it's ready and not release it and later came out with the patches making buyers beta testers, why shouldn't they strip a game of it's content at launch and sell it as DLC? games with DRM that make paying customers suffer? because you don't want to?

If this is a real issue don't buy those games, i don't, and thinks will change rapidly. Complaining and buying the games accomplishes what exactly? i really don't get it. o.O

The apocalyptic rants about a game crash seem overrated. There are people every day playing games happily that don't have any of this crap.

If you're like me and don't buy them, don't play them, and wanted to buy and play them without this... live is not fair. I'm most certainly not gonna support this practices just to play a game, any game no matter how much i would like to play it.

I actually agree with all you said.

The gaming crash I referred to is a worst case scenario, which "can" happen again. (But what are the chances).

Not buying & playing them is also what I do.

But more & more games start to integrate micro transactions, not saying every game but the number increases.

Calling them micro is also becoming quite deceiving, 1 by 1 yea sure. But count it all up.. yea ..

I'll be honest and say Activision got me with CoD.

I stopped buying at BO2, but when BO3 came out I just had to try it.

Suffices to say I didn't enjoy it, at all.

At this point I'm staying clear of their games until I see proof that they went back to the old formula, if that ever happens.

As a sidenote:

Just asking, would you by any chance have some recommendations for games? (I know taste in games differs, but I'm always open to try something new!)

I heard Civ 5 is quite okay, never really got into RTS games so that seems fun.

But yea, if you got any feel free to tell me :)

i did not played the last civ, but i love the series, it's turn based and that scares some people.

the only way for someone to suggest games for you is if you say what type of games you like.

RTS - Never tried it but actually seems intriguing to try.

Games that do not end - I enjoy a game that just has a lot of replayability.

A sandbox with actual stuff to do. Tried all the popular once, GTA did appeal to me. So do well executed Survival games.

What I avoid is the "Ubisoft sandbox". Grab this, do that, rescue him. Rinse & repeat.

Sandbox games in my eyes should be filled with small things, random encounters, etc

With the ability to cause mayhem or keep peace.

Odd ones out - Garry's Mod was and is something that doesn't seem to get old to me.

Simple concept, so much stuff to do.

FPS - The FPS game you can play braindead. Just guns, boots on the ground shooting. Most kills wins. While CoD used to clinch this thirst, balance is gone and it isn't the same to me. I'd replay BO MP, but on PC that game is dead. No real theme needed, WW2/WW1/Vietnam/modern times . Not set in the future is my main request.

I did find some interesting games or even ones I used to play, but the playercounts are just too low. Finding matches shouldn't take forever.

Battlefield is a decent one, but I prefer close range.

Well that is what goes through my head when looking for a game.
