I'm currently looking for some good quality headphones as I listen to music almost all day. At the moment I'm looking at the audio technica m40x's, as they seem to be a good choice but the £89 seems to be a great investment for something i'm not sure about. The main things I am looking for are; build quality, aesthetics and sound quality. My budget at most is £100.

A lot of people consider the M40x the best of the Audio Technica M series of headphones. Yeah sure there are the M50s but they're not as good of a value as they used to be. Sorry though I don't know too much about specific headphones so I can't be of much help. The M40s would most likely work just fine though so you can't really go wrong with them.

I've owned the m40x for about 2 years and they are definitely worth it.

It is foldable and comes with a pouch. Build quality is solid and very comfortable when wearing (it might feel tight for the first few uses).

Sound wise it is pretty balanced. It doesn't hit you with too much bass, if you want bass go for the m50x.

One thing to note is that its a closed back headphone which means the headphones will grip u tighter to isolate more sound, it could get a bit stuffy around your ears if you wear it for a prolonged period, especially if you live in a humid country.
