Building a new PC soon and need Windows 10. was trying to save a buck or 2 on it. Would this be fine to buy? Or is it too risky?

I would buy it with Kinguin. Get the insurance on it, its cheaper, and I have never had any issues.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

you can use Windows10 for free forever basically. just make a bootable USB using the ISO from Microsoft's website and select "I don't have a window key" when it asks for one. It wouldn't let you change the desktop background and will always have a watermark on the side of the screen saying "enter windows key in setting"

Other than that windows in completely functional. you can buy key and enter it later when you have money to spend. there are thousands of YouTube videos all about it. Completly legal, Microsoft made it possible.

here, when you get to typing in product key in the install press the button that says "I do not have a product key"

when you get a windows key later on just enter it in settings and done. otherwise, the free windows 10 will work forever anyway.

This would be legit OEM. Unlike those sold in Kinguin and such. Retail price for Home is $110-150. OEM is bit cheaper, making this real OEM piece from MS.
