just wanting to do this for better cooling so i can get a higher overclock and it looks better.

I have a friend who has a water cooled strix and has no need for the cooler. I have the founders edition.

I don't think so, since that is an rgb card so the pcb must be different to accommodate that, even if it did fit you wouldn't be able to use the rbg on the card. also cooling differences wouldn't be worth the hassle. If you really want to cool the card then you are better off getting a water block and adding a water cooling loop

The chip will be in near enough the same position, but the vrm's and power delivery modules won't be, and it's important to keep them cool.

In short it would probably fit, but wouldn't cool the important parts very well.

PC - CPU Ryzen 5 1600 - GPU Power Color Radeon 5700XT- Motherboard Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming - RAM 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB - Storage 525GB Crucial MX300 SSD + 120GB Kingston SSD   PSU Corsair CX750M - Cooling Stock - Case White NZXT S340

Doesn't even need a custom loop really, nzxt and Corsair do brackets that allow one of their AIO's to be fitted, a 120 will be enough to keep the card nicely cooled.

Won't work. Most custom card manufacturers make their own PCB, with chips and such in different positions.

Custom pinewood case, Corsair CX 600WRampage 3 Extreme, i7 980x (@4.2ghz) with ML240 Cooler MSI GTX 970, 24gb DDR3, 240gb OCZ Tr150 SSD + 2Tb Seagate Baracuda.

Advocate for used/older hardware. Also one of the resident petrol heads.
