So I'm running a HP laptop and it came with Hp's Support Assistant software and its telling me I should update to the latest AMD graphics driver. Last time I tried to update my graphics driver I had to use my restore point cause the display wouldn't show any picture.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

Would help to know the graphics chip of the laptop. My wife's HP laptop won't take the latest drivers (same issue, black screen or flatout won't install) because it's Radeon HD 6450. Unsupported beyond any drivers past 2015

Still an annoying bastard, Radeon Update Manager popping up everyday "A new driver has been downloaded for your hardware! Install now?" Fool me once...

I downloaded the Recommended driver version from AMD's site and it seems to be working just fine. I have a A-10 9600P
