Wifi service not working

Everytime i try connection to the internet my laptop cant connect to the wifi . The wlan service wont start either how can i fix this?

Both local and wireless network connections show a red x under them

Which laptop do you have? Make sure WiFi is enabled in software and physically. Some laptops have a physical Wireless LAN switch. Restart your router by unplugging it and plugging it back in again.

Its windows vista ans i tried that but didnt work

Yeah its turned on but when i try to find the network nothing appearz and the diagnose doesnt help either

More then likely the antennas broke in the laptop. happen to one of my old laptops.
