WiFi card antenna orientation ?

Hi all!
I bought a wifi card with 3 omni antenna, and i want to know which is the best antenna orientation for maximum coverage (for wifi pen-testing) .

Some options:

\ | /    or      | | |     or    ___ | ___    or    \ | __

Any opinions are more than appreciated.

Thanks all!

as the wifi logo suggests, the signal goes in and out from the sides of the antennae, and usually have a dead spot out from the top, that is unless your antennas are omnidirectional, but seeing as it is three antennas, i doubt it, since you would only need one of those.
also check if it supports monitor mode.. you most likely have to google around for this, if it isn't, it's pretty useless for pentesting..

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

The radiation pattern of a typical omnidirectional antenna looks something like this:

Pointing them all straight up gives you the best sensitivity in the horizontal direction. Turning them 90° sideways gives you the best sensitivity in the horizontal direction.

Just pick a direction that matches your situation...

thank you so much guys.. yes the card i have is fully supported by linux and certified for pen-testing.. but as a pen-tester i wouldn't know where are the access points are located, so i want an orientation that covers all the area in a maximum way (top floor, middle floor, bottom floor)

please try to understand me :)

thanks again
