Anybody else have a G6? If so, how is it? How does it perform and what are the issues you are having with it, if any ?

I own one, it's a pretty good phone. The main gripes I have with it are:

Snapdragon 821 instead of 825

No stero speakers

Some backlight bleed when it's dark and using always on display

The camera is not bad, but can't compare with that of other flagship phones. The screen is perfect, 1440p is plenty, and it is bright enough. LG does put their preinstalled crap, but I guess that's just a fact of life now. The USB C can be annoying, because they are very rare to find if you don't have your own. The battery life will last you a day of moderate usage, but it certainly could be better. Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 is great, but requires the special charger.

Overall, it's a good phone, but I personally wouldn't choose it over other flagship phones.

My friend has. Mostly he didn't like the metal in the construction because G6 has several scratches after 2 weeks of using. And he likes the sound and doesn't like the battery.

With any phone you should have a case, protecting it

That is why he bought a case. But I don't really like the cases

  • 2 weeks later...

I am using it now, it is a pretty awesome phone and I get myself a case where I find it fit nicely.

I am ex. owner of Samsung Galaxy S8+ and I no regret switch over to LG G6.

2 main reason make me jump over

  • Wide angle camera - every manufacture should use wide angle camera as second camera instead of zoom camera.
  • Quad DAC - This is freaking awesome! 1st time I can properly fire up my 50 Ω Sennheiser HD518 headset.
