i have been searching for some cheap headphone over the last few days. thinking of the  Sony MDR ZX 110ap at the moment.

would like to receive comments and suggestions if you have any. help is always appreciated

If you can just spend an extra few bucks, just get the Skullcandy Navigator. The price is rock bottom right now and you get so much for your money:

 

- decent sound

- awesome build quality that wouldn't look out of place on $150 headphones

- decent microphone for calls

- standard removable wire that you can easily replace for a few bucks. This is a huge deal because I can't count the number of headphones I threw in the garbage because of a faulty headphone jack.

seems to be interesting, it doesnt ship  to my country though.

I know you said 29 dollars would be too expensive but I just want to throw in my 2cents too.

I second Superlux!
I own a pair of Superlux HD681 EVO and while ridiculously cheap (30 euros - or 34 dollars give or take) the sound quality is amazing and they are very comfortable. 
I'm a music producer and I use them from time to time when composing. So great!
