I need a new GPU

Ryan West
Go to solution Solved by mankeez,

If you want to get both GPU and PSU for 500 bucks then I'd recommend either going heavy or balanced.

The heavy option includes a GTX 1070 (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fKp323/msi-geforce-gtx-1070-8gb-video-card-gtx-1070-gaming-x-8g) and a Corsair RMx 750W Gold Certified Power Supply (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9q38TW/corsair-power-supply-cp9020092na), the GPU costing near 400$ and the PSU costing 99$, equaling ever so slightly more than 500$ or you can go balanced.

The balanced option features a GTX 1060 6GB (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JVWrxr/msi-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-gaming-x-video-card-geforce-gtx-1060-gaming-x-6g) for 300$ and a super fancy

Corsair HX1000 1000W Platinum Certified for 200$ (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nQJkcf/corsair-hx-platinum-1000w-80-platinum-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020139-na) equaling 503$.

It all depends on your hardware though, This is based on average needs for

gaming, although if you don't need such a beefy power supply you can always get a bronze and get a 1080 on Newegg.

This link does not drop me on a product specific page.

The reason is doesn't is because he wants someone other than himself to do the research.

That way if something goes sideways, he doesn't have to blame himself, he can blame someone else for bad information.

get Vega 56, overclock it as far as it goes and buy cheapest 300W PSU. You'll be fine...
