So hard drives tend to degrade in performance over time, so I would recommend getting a new one or maybe an ssd for a performance boost.

Yeah a ssd can be a huge upgrade, just upgraded a laptop from a hdd to ssd, boot time dropped from 45+ seconds to almost instant, and opening programs and all is sped up too

i don't think your motherboard supports NVMe, i'd just get a regular sata ssd, works just as well and cheaper.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

My recommendation would be either see if you can find a used i5 or i7 to put into your mobo like a 3770(non K) would bee a significant increase in performance and can run on like a 300w psu or getting an ssd would probably be best just to get much faster load timess for everything because I know photoshop can take forever to open if on an old hdd.

System Specs

CPU: I7-5820k   MOBO:Asus X99 strix   RAM: 32gb corsair Dominator Platinum 2666mhz   GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980TI  PSU: Corsair RM1000i
