asus 1080 strix or asus 1070 ti strix?

Cyno

One of the most popular pc stores in sweden are selling the asus 1080 strix dc3 for about 10 dollars LESS than the asus 1070 ti strix. I was going to buy a 1070 ti (upgrading from 970) but isn't the 1080 the better choice with these prices in mind? Isn't the 1080 more powerful?
Is there any reason not to pick the 1080? Just want to make sure I'm not missing some important detail that explains the pricing and stuff.

Why would you go with a 1070Ti when the 1080 is cheaper?

the 1070ti is newer, but it is still based on the same stuff as the rest of the 10XX series, so yes the 1080 is still a better card

Broke 14 Year old + No job + Love for Technology = Bad combo :(
