So I have a nice budget for my cpu and mobo around 500 dollars and I was thinking that I could squeze some ram in there prob a nice 8gb stick and later upgrade to 16gb. But which cpu would be the best to purchase and of course the motherboard would probably be a Z270 but what is better MSI or ASUS?

Lol Guess I didnt do much research.

It's a joke because Coffeelake is LGA 1151, but doesn't work in any other LGA 1151 chipset motherboard other than Z370. I edited my post to include what could be a very nice setup to get into the newest generation

No problem, just a couple caveats. The cooler won't get you far at all when it comes to overclocking, so if you want to overclock I would suggest buying a new cooler down the line, also its only a 1x8 ram setup so you'll need another stick sooner rather than later
