So, I am planning on building a PC to take over some of the duties that my Mac had for the last few years. I have settled on using the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv mATX as the case for the build however I am not sure that whether used in conjunction with a H100i v2, airflow would be restricted. If someone could give me a heads up as to whether there would be restricted airflow it would be greatly appreciated. If I should have to switch to air cooling, I would be grateful for a suggestion that would be able to have headroom for overclocking. Processor of choice would be i7 7700k.

The only other question that i have is whether a 1060 6gb would be able to run 2560x1080 at 60fps

What are you going to be doing? A 8th gen i5 might be better for you, as the 8th gen chips perform better in gaming

will be doing gaming on the computer. Only problem is the price at the moment. Currently £300 at morecomputers.

What will you do with the PC? Other than to just game?

The Evolv doesn't have great airflow, but it shoulnd't matter too much, as there's plenty of cooling for the CPU and GPU.

Don't get the 7700K. There's no reason to. The 8600K, 8700 or Ryzen 1700 will be better buys, depending on what you'll do with the PC.

Get an SSD and faster RAM.

You can get better PSUs for around the same price

:)

1. Once I move to university, I will install Office and use it as a normal PC

2. Thanks for the advice

3. 8600k and 8700 are currently out of my budget. If the price comes down nearer to December, they might be an option. Ryzen was also a thought however I cannot find any motherboards with wifi built in to the board

4. I am going to be investing in an SSD later down the line. Will have a look at getting higher RAM speeds however, isn't it possible to overclock those in the bios

5. Currently it is the cheapest PSU for the price and seems like it will be fine. May have a look at rm550x (650W gold rated).

Thank you for the suggestions
