Hello, I've just figured out that my gtx 460 finally died on me. So I'm in need of a new graphics card. I've got a fairly old system, and was planning on replacing majority of the parts, or just building a new pc all together. So I suppose the gpu will be the first part I buy then :D. Okay my question is, will I have any issues with replacing the 460 with something such as a 1060? My specs are as is: cpu  Amd phenom II x4 925, mobo Foxconn A88GMV, power supply Cooler master 460 watt. I guess everything else is irrelevant. I know it'll bottleneck probably? But I think I may as well go ahead and get something decent, and just use it in my upgraded build for the future and use it currently to just have a functioning pc. Also, if you have any better suggestions other than a 1060 then please let me know! Thank you very much for the help.

A 1050 ti would be balanced at this point, considering your old CPU

But would a 1060 work with what I have currently you think?

1060 6GB will be fine since i assume you will upgrade the thing

Could it cause issues with it if I use it for too long in my pc as is?

it won't damage the 1060 right away, but i suggest you upgrade within quarter 1 2018
