Pc-overkill??

I am waiting for new gpu to come out from nvidia and now i dont want to spend mutch on graphiccard (and i dont have budget for it) so after new volta architecture come out i will buy 2080 and custom water colling so i can oc.
And my question is. Isnt 8700k super overkill for 1060 3gb?

No if you want good the 2080 later the 8700k is fine for now. And I would say go for the 1060 6gb or hell even a 1050ti. Upgrade the psu to atleast a 650w
