Which AMD driver version is the most stable?

I haven't updated my RX480 (16.11.5) drivers for a while but I'm going to reinstall Windows 7 next week and was wondering which driver version is the most stable or should I stick to 16.11.5 as it hasn't given me any problems on Overwatch, CSGO and Rocket League.

Honestly, I'm on the latest drivers. I've never had a problem with any of the drivers for the past year on my 480 other than one driver that gave me a BSOD a few times. Can't remember which one that was. I always try and stick on the latest drivers unless there's an issue with them, in which case I'd stay on the drivers beforehand. 

 

A lot of people have been experiencing crashing with Overwatch on the latest drivers. I myself personally haven't experienced it at all. People who have issues with Overwatch recommend 17.7.1.

Generally speaking: WHQL drivers are more stable than Beta. 

There are two mayor ways to deal with drivers:
1) Update every time there's an update out. 
2) Update only if there is an issue or a clear advantage in doing so. 

 

To avoid issues i'd recommend the second.
