Screen misaligns/off-center when freesync is enabled ["solved", mods feel free to delete]

Hello, I'm having this weird problem. When I connect my monitor to the gpu via display port, I found that the screen shifts up by 3 pixels. 

 

Monitor is Asus MG248

Please help!

 

EDIT: I just found that when enabling adaptive sync (freesync) causes this problem, still searching for a solution

 

EDIT: Turns out it's an old common bug on my monitor, which Asus said there is no solution. sigh.

 

Mods please delete this post if you think it should not exist anymore.
