RMA'ing Gpu

Hey guys gpu hasn't been working well, artifacting and other stuff, so im gonna RMA it. When I checked its warrenty it said this Warranty Coverage:01/01/0001~01/01/0001

Any ideas?

got it in august

If you contact the manufacturer, then you should be asked for the serial number and be okay to RMA. The warranty information given shouldn't be an issue.

also, if i still have warrenty would i need to pay for anythiing? like shipping

That would depend on the individual manufacturer but many don't require you to pay shipping. If they do, kick up a stink and fight them on it.

its through gigabyte would they do that?

I just RMA'd my Asus GPU and i only have to pay shipping to them, they will ship it back. Not sure how lucky you will get in terms of getting them to pay for shipping it to them.

how much is shipping to them generally? cash isnt very abundant for me

also is it possible to drive to their office? i live like 20 minutes away from their office inthe city of industry

Thats really dependent on where you are, where the nearest service center is, how fast you want it there, what postal provider you choose, whether you want it insured, and probably any applicable cross-border taxes.

like i said, im 20 minutes from their office and actually time isnt important to me

Another consideration is that their office may not have their repair/service center in it.

just ask them for a prepaid label, they send it, you get it, you ship it to them for free.
