try to check how much ram is used :)

well had that kind of problem earlier today too and a clear CMOS seemed to work, no more lag and no more 96% ram usage at start up :)

Sounds like you have way too many programs loading at startup.

Combofix got flageged by MSE lol

It's safe, probably just because it is more... powerful (for lack of a better word), than most security scans. Before you run it you should disable MSE (it sometimes can conflict with anti-viruses) and not run any programs. It may seem sketchy, but its a perfectly legit program, I use it at work on every single computer I fix.

Edit: Also if you want a safe download site, I always download it from Bleepingcomputer.com (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/)

What does clearing cmos do?

basically resetting Your bios to default, but seems to fix other problems, not sure why

This can happen when updates are being downloaded in the background. If you have automated backups or av scans, they may start/restart if they were interrupted/missed because of a shutdown.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
