Is there any way I could get an i7 4770 in a HTPC case with 16GB of ram and maybe a low profile GPU/sound card? I would like something around the size of an xbox360 slim or a ps4. I was thinking around $500-$600.

My PC:

CPU: Xeon E3 1230 V3(Haswell) @ 3.7GHz Motherboard: AsRock B85M-ITX RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP Blue @ 1600MHz Storage: Intel 520 Series 120(Boot), Seagate Barracuda 500GB @ 7200RPM, Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB @ 5400RPM GPU: ZOTAC GTX 970 @ 1.4GHz Case: Node 304 Power Supply: CX430

Fractal node 304 can fit a GTX Titan so you should look it up.

I was also thinking about doing one of the DIY all in one chassis. I wouldn't have any GPU but it would be good when I'm on the go.

CPU: Xeon E3 1230 V3(Haswell) @ 3.7GHz Motherboard: AsRock B85M-ITX RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP Blue @ 1600MHz Storage: Intel 520 Series 120(Boot), Seagate Barracuda 500GB @ 7200RPM, Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB @ 5400RPM GPU: ZOTAC GTX 970 @ 1.4GHz Case: Node 304 Power Supply: CX430

PCI extenders for the graphics card

alternatively you can a=get a digital storm bolt or steam machine stc.

Well the storm bolt is way out of my price range. Also this is an EDITING rig not a gaming oriented rig.

What versions?

All of those programs can perform much better with gpu acceleration with renders being multiple times faster as a result.

What kind of content is being worked on?

That's true, I know cuda can be a life saver sometimes.

As for the content, its usually 1080p@60fps footage.

Didn't answer my other question--what versions?

Also, 500-600 USD?

Oh CS6 for AE, CC for PS and P, and Pro 12 for Vegas.

And yes that is my price range.

Such a tight budget for a htpc form factor ._.

Looks good!

The case already has a power supply that I'm not sure if you can change. Also is there a way I could fit more drives in there? So I could add another HDD and SSD in there?

I have worked with the case. It's not the easiest to worth with given its small form factor so you should take your time. It only has room for one 3.5" drive and another 2.5" drive. You can probably stuff more 2.5" drives if you want to. You can also get a bracket to mount more another drive into the 5.25" bay.

The power supply should swap just fine. The case comes with a microATX psu and is unlike the older 710P that has the psu actually built into the case.

If you want even more storage, I'd recommend jumping for a larger drive now or using external drives if you're not into ghetto-mounting or modding.

And if you ARE into modding, this sounds like the perfect scenario for a project! ;)

I didn't see the internal 2.5" slot, and I could put 2 3.5"s in there. Also I would go for the black one.

Sure. I've used the black one and it's a bit boring imo. Just personal preference though.

Im not really a fan of the black and red color scheme in general. I'm more of a black and green.

The 650 isn't better. The 7750 and 650 trade blows.

The 650 requires a 6 pin power connector unlike the 7750 so I wouldn't use the psu from the case for it.

You also ended up with less ram ._.

You'd definitely want the 80+ psu I recommended for a 650.
