questions about h100i

I am in the middle of installing the h100i here are my questions

 

1. im missing a screw (my falt) will it matter if i dont include that screw (fan mounting)

 

2. one of the screws is a bit loose will that be ok. (fan mounting)

 

3. their is a sheet of plastic on the backplate do i take it off. thanks for your help

3) on my H80 i left that plastic sheet, so the metal backplate doesnt touch the back of the PCB which would be bad

The cooler I currently use is a Noctua unit and when I first put this system together, I was missing some hardware. Maybe I misplaced it or maybe it was a miss at the factory, but it was hardware that I actually needed to mount. I contacted Noctua and they sent some hardware, on their own dime, and it turns out that they accidentally sent the wrong hardware. When I contacted Noctua again, they didn't get mad, they sent hardware, again on their dime, it was what I needed. All this didn't cost me a single penny. That is premium customer service.

 

If Corsair is even half as good as Noctua is, they should send you the hardware you need free of charge.

1a - if it is just a fan mounting screw, it will not hurt/harm the installation (pick up a screw from a hobby store or like 6-32 x 1 1/8")

2a - too loose can cause a vibration/noise that might be unpleasant

3a - no, do not remove that plastic sheeting from the back plate, it provides insulation to prevent short circuiting.
