Im having a weird issue i was playing divinity 2 original sin when my cpu just cut off and said there was a power surge and the computer cut off to protect itself and upon reloading it takes me into the bios ...and now every time i load D2OS my computer crashes and says power surge its happened 3 times now before i stopped so i dont break anything i have no clue what caused it the 1st time or why it keeps happening please help me figure out how to fix it .. do i just need a new power supply  the computer is maybe 1 year old.

AX860 power supply

x99 deluxe (i know weird departure from rest of build long story)

980ti 6gb

Windows 10

16 gb corsair vengance

It's just ASUS anti-surge being annoying... I recommend you simply turn it off.

 

Don't worry about the PSU, since it's a very good unit.

I can't seem to bog the system down to the point of the issue you're having I loaded up as many CPU benchmarks as I could. have you ran any other game? or benchmarks to see if it just that game? I have called Asus for help with my X99-M WS for q code I was getting and they are really fast and helpful you can call them and they might be able to help you

ya if the game was cheaper I would buy it and see if that happens to me. I know I have never gotten my system to draw more than 600 watts form the wall and that was with me running my CPU at the same speed as yours and with 4 stress tests running on 4 screens
