Freesync Question

BabyPCMR

So if a 144 hz monitor has free sync, free sync has to be enabled to activate the 144 hz ability of said monitor. Do you still get 144 hz on a Nvidia GPU in this case?

The two are agnostic of each other. What Freesync does is if the game isn't running at 144 fps, let's say 92 fps, the monitor will change its refresh rate to 92Hz so you the display of frames is even and smooth.

All 144 Hz FreeSync monitors I know of will support 144 Hz on both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards.

I dont think so. I have an LG UltraWide with FreeSync at 75 HZ and I dont need to enable it to get the 75 HZ refresh rate. Try opening device management and look at if the monitor appears as 144 HZ. If it shows up as 59 or 60 HZ then update us.
