Looking for a cool monitor from a Linus Tech video

Go to solution Solved by Taswell,

its one of the rog swift monitors i think, the high refresh rate ones from like last year?

this thing right?ROG-Swift-PG35VQ-Gaming-Monitor-Header.j black and orange? idk

Hi this is my first post on Floatplane!

I am trying to locate a specific monitor that I remember seeing in one of Linus' videos in the last three or four months.  The things I remember are as follows:

  • It had three feet, I think they may have been flexible, possibly.
  • The monitor had a light shinning downwards and you could insert a stencil cutout to shape the light.  I remember Linus showing an example of this feature using a cutout that came with the monitor that created a light in the shape of their logo, which I think 'might' have been in the shape of a dragon.
  • I also believe that the monitor used a black and orange color scheme.
  • I know I have watched the video between from about June to September of this year.  However, it could have easily been a video that was release longer ago, considering how older videos can show up in the suggested videos section.

I can't quite remember, but I don't think that the video was solely focused on this monitor.  Anyway, I hope someone can remember what video I am thinking about L:)

Whoops, sorry about that!  As I mentioned I am quite new to both Floatplane and the Linus forums in general! :/

I will take a look at the ROB Swift monitor and see if it looks familiar...  Thanks for the lead!

It looks like that was the one!  The monitor I was thinking about was the ASUS ROG Swift PG258Q monitor.

Thanks for the help, it was getting pretty annoying that I was not able to remember the what the name of the monitor was.

Ya, the orange was not much of the coloring.  Mostly highlights or trim.  I think that it also varied on which varient you picked or something.  Here is a pic I got that looks closer to the monitor Linus was reviewing.
