i5 8600k air cooler?

skeeler88

I plan to buy the i5 8600k and pair it with an H212 Evo or a Cryrig H7 Quad lumi. Will either cooler be able to handle the temps of the processor? Any info or recommendations would be appreciated.

Don't get 212 EVO, very mediocre (Cryorig M9i is slightly better and has a lower price)
Cryorig H7 is a nice choice but may not handle heavy OC well

yes the H7 will do good, or if you have the space Noctua does an amazing job at keeping these cpus cool.

You mean GammaXX 400 right? It's on par with 212 EVO, again the Cryorig M9i and H7 is a better buy

ya no they preform about the same. if i where to chose a cpu cooler i would go noctua nh-d15 or cryorig R1 ultimate. the amazing performance of these will avoid all heat issues that this cpu will throw at it. cpu coolers like the ones above work but just barely. and minor overclock's will give them a run for there money. if ur going to drop so much money into a cpu why not take good care of it. alot of reviews are saying that thermal performance is really bad and these chips heat like crazy. i would go with a strong air cooler.
