Great, I read about someone doing about the same thing I am, but everyone said It would not be good for the long term, so would you say this could be a permanent solution?

now that i think about it the zip ties are plastic and the heat will affect them dont do it for long

Hello, I have a Optiplex 390 with a I5 2400 on the LGA 1155 Socket, So it's the small form factor with the weird dell stock cooler. What I want to do is put the 390 motherboard and CPU into a mid tower case, I have a intel stock cooler I want to mount, but the holes do not line up, so my question is can I mount it with zip ties permanently? I have industrial strength zip ties that are very strong.main-qimg-9914b28e6107a7c857caa99736912b8d-c.jpg.12e65c100cf91438921e83a66ce6a6b2.jpg The One I Want To Mount

Yes I just saw your reply, I'm going to try to get the rest of the parts I need to mount a CryoRig M9i But until then zip ties will have to do I guess.
