I need not much, but I would definatley like to have more storage. in other words, I would make use of it in around 1 year for a tb. 3 months for the 120 gb ssd (most likley size)

Is both an option?

I guess if you do more than basic productivity (web browsing, office, etc), you'll need the hard drive.
