overclocking help Overclocking fx-6300

i have a fx-6300 i only have a air cooler on it sits around 50 degrees under load.

should i get a aio and overclock it or should i just upgrade to a new cpu and if i do are there any suggestions of what to get?

i mainly use it for gaming i am looking at upgrading my gpu to a gtx 1060 i don't have much money to spend either.

 

After looking in my bios there are some overclock's that are already set that i can choose i just don't know if they are good or not.

How much money do you have to spend on a new system? Yours is pretty dated and a new system could help.

I had my 6350  OC pretty good on air. I did upgrade from a Hyper D92 to H100i v2 because I was going to upgrade to Zen. I got it early because I could and it helped to cushion the cost of my R7 upgrade. Felt like it was $100 bucks cheaper.

 

But no, I didn't really need it. I was able to get to 4.4 on my 92mm cooler, and up to 4.7 on water. I couldn't get higher because the chip didn't let me. But the water wasn't necessary, because not much difference between 4.4 and 4.7.

I have that cpu. An overclock isn't going to do much. Even when I was running at 4.5Ghz there was not an appreciable difference, certainly not enough to justify the $35 cooler or the extra heat dumped into my computer room.

if i was to upgrade on a lowish budget dose anyone have any suggestions whats a good chip that goes with the gtx 1060?
