CPU will be fine but I don't think the 1050Ti is VR capable.

Take it from someone who owns the Vive, it sucks if you run it with minimum specifications. The Vive has scaleable resolution and many games use scaling graphic systems now, so at minimum specs all the games just look like shit, it's not worth it. If your interested in a vive, i'd reccomend a minimum of a 1060.

It should be fine. You just won't get amazing performance.

It is. I've also ran a Rift off of a 7970, so it'll work fine.

Considering your weaker graphics card, it would be a better idea to get an Oculus Rift, which has the ASW feature. That allows it to run comfortably on weaker PC hardware than the HTC Vive.

The GTX 1050 Ti meets the minimum requirements for the Rift, but not for the Vive.

Your CPU will be absolutely fine. I was running my Vive on a Phenom II from 2009 with no frame rate drops. However! I highly recommend a minimum of a 1070 for a good VR experience. Any sort of frame rate drop is horrendous in VR. Super Sampling is also a must in most titles as the resolution is currently too low for reading and massively increases clarity and visuals. Saying this, I went from a 1070 to a 1080Ti for the extra power and being able to turn up my SS has drastically increased and enhanced my VR experience.

So, you CAN play the Vive on a 1060, but you won't get *great* performance, especially in demanding titles like Raw Data. run the SteamVR test app, it's pretty handy!
