Cant find suitable laptop

Hi all, I have been doing research to replace my heavy 5 year old laptop but I really could not find any laptop that has specs that I'm satisfied with.

Greatly appreciate your help to find one that is close or the next best!! Price is not an issue.
Thank you so much

Specs in order of priority:
1) Battery: around 6hrs doing light work (surf web, using MC Office)
2) CPU: Intel 8th Gen
3) Weight & form factor: Less than 2kg, portable (max 2.4kg)
4) Resolution: 4k (1080p if no choice)
5) Screen size: 14" (ideal) or 15"
6) GPU: at least Nvidia Max Q 1060 (light gaming and CAD)
7) RAM: 16GB (at least)
8) Storage: 500GB SSD (at least)
9) Brand: no preference

whats your budget?

if its a high amount i would reccomend building a pc with most of the budget seeing as im sure youll be gaming and doing cad work

personally i ditched a razer blade for a desktop(also did a lot of workstation stuff) purely because the heat was becoming an issue and the caviats of having a laptop with high specs were causing me issues

obviously this idea might not suit your lifestyle but if it can suit it, its worth it

Two candidates that come to mind are the Razer Blade 14 and XPS 15. Unfortunately, I don't think battery life on the blade can reach 6 hours, but you might get 4.5 at most if you're keeping it really light. Furthermore, neither the Blade or XPS have 8th gen offerings available from their retail sites (i just checked). Both laptops have 4k screen options and ideal weight. However, increased screen resolution can also drain battery life faster than 1080p counterparts.
As for GPU, the XPS is shooting under what you'd like with a 1050, but that might be able to help you fulfill your battery life needs. RAM and Storage offerings are also adequate for both options.

Lastly, I know dave2d on youtube makes some good videos comparing all the worth having laptops, so that might be something worth looking into.

The closest laptop I can think is Aero 15. However it has 7th gen CPU (but HQ CPU which means powerful), slightly heavier than 2kg and 15 inch 1080p display. RAM and storage can be easily upgraded so no worries.

Avoid Razer Blade, very bad laptop

Montech Century 850W Gold Tecware Nexus Air (Black) ATX Mid Tower

Aero 15 is a nice choice. I'm curious to hear what your case is for avoiding the Razer Blade! I've been using mine for a year now and I can't find much if anything to complain about.

poor quality control, poor build quality (internals), poor customer support, overpriced

Thanks for the reply guys!! Seems there are no laptops with both 8th gen and Max-q available yet. I'm sure this combination will give the best power to battery life to portability balance.

Laptops I considered aside from the ones mentioned are:

- Acer Nitro 5 spin (though has 1050 only)

- MSI GS63VR stealth Pro (though has 7th gen & 4hr battery life, if only HDD can be swapped for bigger battery)

- Hp Omen 15 (crappy 3hr battery life)

- Aftershock prime 15 (battery life, 7th gen)

- Dell inspiron 7000 gaming (1050ti, 7th gen, battery life weak)

So I guess if battery life is my main consideration, the best compromise would be the aero 15 or the XPS 15?

I would just go for the laptop you like best if battery is an issue you could go with one of Anker's battery packs.

Wut, the battery life is EXCELLENT

Dell 7567, XPS 15 or Gigabyte Aero 15, you need the battery life, trust me, it's very important

Are you sure? The Max Q version of GTX 1060 has about the same amount of power draw with the normal GTX 1060 notebook version at 80W, the only difference here is that the Max Q version has lower GPU clock and boost clock. If it's paired with HQ version of the CPU (be it 7th or 8th gen unless if you're talking about the U version of the 8th Gen) that has rated max TDP of 45W, I'm pretty sure the battery life would not be as great if it's not at least 70Wh. The Dell 7567's battery life is impressive enough (can go up to 8hrs of normal usage) for a laptop with HQ CPU and GTX 1050 Ti with its 74Wh battery. If you really want battery life and performance that has GTX 1060, there's Gigabyte Aero 14/15 (with its humongous 90Wh+ battery on both 14/15 versions) or Alienware 13 R3 (with 76Wh battery).
