Go to solution Solved by voaz,

I tried using the GPU in the second PCI-e 16x slot and everything works fine so far, and it's been a week so I'm guessing it's a problem with the motherboard.. I'm stuck between upgrading the motherboard or just sending it back for a warranty claim.. Upgrading it would take minutes if not hours but sending it back would take at least a week.. Right?

Yes it will take a few days, but I wouldn't buy a new one when your current one is broke within it's warranty period.

Hey guys, first post here.. Getting kind of desperate.

My two year old computer is not displaying anything after the Windows boot menu. I can hear the sound and everything seems to be working fine but the monitor just says 'no input'.

Right before it crashed again and again I managed to snap photos of the error.

I've thought it would've been a registry error but reinstalling windows 7 four times in a row didn't seem to make it go away. I even tried not updating Windows thinking it might've been it. But after a while it just started blinking, showing those same notifications and going black again.

I've also read it might've been a problem with the power supply, but plugging out any extra peripherals (hard drives, gamepad) but it still does the same thing.

Now after the latest crash it simply says BOOTMGR is missing. What happened?

My computer is an Alienware Aurora R3, with a Dell U2913WM monitor. Don't.. Just don't.

I don't know what to do anymore.. If I can't do anything I'll just send it over to Dell to take care of it. But if you guys have a better suggestion that's not 'buy a new computer' or 'reformat the hard drive' I won't send it back for warranty.

Hopefully it isn't a hardware problem and I can just continue with the rest of my life but it has been two days and I cannot find a fix for it.

And you know a brother's getting desperate when he's using a phone.

4th post same thread, don't spam man..

Your drivers might be gone/corrupt and it's an Alienware. there

I noticed and I apologize, my phone was going haywire and Tapatalk isn't really optimized for windows phone.

I've installed the drivers from the resource disk provided with the computer and no luck, It just stops working.

All cables, connectors fine? Tried the gpu in another system?

If that doesn't work, it's the GPU and if it works you can try to backup and do a fresh install.
