I assume the earbuds are TRRS... you'll need an adapter to plug that into a normal PC port

I think he needs the reverse of what you showed.

4pin headphone plug female to 2x 3pin headphone/mic plug male.

(not a recommendation of product, or shown the best price. This is just to show what I mean).

The Apple earset plugs in the 4pin plug, and he has 2x 3pin plug, green for audio out, and red plug for mic to both plug on the PC.

yeah actually you're right, I was thinking about this in reverse.

Point is, you have to split out the TRRS plug to a normal TRS stereo that's found on PCs

Next, apple car doesnt work with regular fuel :P .

I wouldn't be surprised, but this isn't one of "those cases".  Every phone I can think of uses a TRRS plug. Even though it's not natively compatible with PCs, it is something of a standard, not really an Apple special snowflake thing.

They do enough things to deserve hate we really don't need to go out of our way to pick on them for things that don't deserve it :P  If anything, you should treasure the things they do right since it gives you an opportunity to show that you judge each action entirely on its own merits and the fact they get a lot of hate isn't just because you hate them blindly, but because they genuinely earn it.

dont know if you got my double joke.

I dont hate apple, i just hate their closed ecosystem. To make an IOS app you must have a macbook and to publish apps you gotta pay yearly. Its no wonder apple is losing it's market in the mobile segment.

There are things they do right but sadly with the current board of directors and the direction the company has taken, i just dont see a future for it. At one point even i was considering a macbook which would have intel iris pro and a decent nvidia GPU while they still had loads of IO on their laptops.
