Hey guys, i am currently looking for a laptop that has a nice screen(IPS if possible) and accurate color, as i will be doing some graphic design and photography related project.

My Budget is around 13.000.000 IDR (~around 1000$). If possible, i also want to play some not-so-heavy games (like dota or csgo) on it.

Been looking around and these are what i found :

Dell XPS 13 and Yoga 720, costs about 1750$ here, so it's out of budget. Buying online via amazon or newegg is not possible, our customs charges us the cost of the item - 250 $ if it exceeds 250$. (ex : 1000$laptop gets charged 750$)

Macbook Pro, again , out of budget

so is there any other recommendation ?

I think IPS panel with 72% or more NTSC suits you.

-HP Omen 15 2017 (if you don't mind gaming laptop)

-Any laptop with 8th gen ULV CPU and a nice display like Asus Zenbooks (I think they haven't refresh the CPU)

-Clevo based models with 99% sRGB panel

-Any laptop with 4k display

Desktop specs:

It's pretty hard to get some decent models with your budget considering you're buying from Indonesia (I'm from there myself and I find the prices there quite ridiculous even when compared to Malaysia). Adding more insult to the jury is when you take the color accuracy into account (which I highly think would be needed for your photography projects) which would shoot the price up beyond your said budget. If you have your own color accurate monitor, your own Windows license and/or don't mind some compromises, I found this online (https://www.lazada.co.id/asus-x550vx-16gb-i7-7700hq-1tb-gtx950m-2gb-dos-15634-fhd-14004376.html?ff=1&sc=ETIN) pretty good specs for the price considering it is being sold in Indonesia.

@ErrystioT

Sorry for the late response, Well, there is a reason why i am getting a laptop. I have nice calibrated monitor(dell u2515H) and a pretty Good PC. it's running on i5 7600K GTX970 and 8GB of RAM. the laptop itself will mainly be used for backing up files to my external hard disks and also edit some photos when i'm travelling (so i can work anywhere). and yeah , i agree that the price of electronics, especially computer parts and laptops in Indonesia is crazy. personally, i wouldn't mind getting a gaming laptop, but if it's too heavy then i'll have to pass . the camera gear that i own themselves are already heavy, so getting a ROG (which i presume is pretty heavy) can cause problems to my shoulders. Probably i will just go to Sing or Malay and get the laptop there, do you have any model recommendations other than the ROG ones ?

Do you mean online stores?

Tbh, your budget is a bit low considering you want a nice display. You should look for Clevo custom laptops (gaming) and laptop with 4k display. I recommend Tech Armory Commandos and Illegear for Clevo laptops (choose 99% sRGB screen, only charge a little more), Dell 7559/7566 with 4k display and maybe HP Envy 13 with 8250U and MX150 (has a quite nice 1080p IPS display and aluminum construction)

Some alternatives: You can buy an external monitor or change the laptop panel
