Am4 Ram speed issues ?

Hey I'm back here again.

 

After updating my Bios to 902 ( most recent as of writing) my ram speeds are still lower then the box advertising. 2666.

 

Manually changing the speeds in bios causes the PC to not Post. It attempted 3 times and then booted to safe mode and asked to run a set up.

 

( I can't find helpful information because I'm not looking hard enough)

 

I payed a little extra money for the 2666mhz ram, I want to use that extra speed however minut it may be.

 

AM4 1800x

Asus prime x370 pro

X4 4gb Corsair LPX 2666mhz

GTX 1080

 

No cpu over clocking has been done .

Maybe check if your mobo and ram are both compatible with eachother

Box and Website claim 3200mhz is supported

Did the previous BIOS allow for those speeds?

Im not sure but did you try overclocking ram in the amd software?

i can assume So, as i was Running 511 but i gave up trying to Force it to Run at its Rated Speed. the MSI board that Killed itself and the Ram wouldent Run at 2666 aswell

What speed is it currently at? Sorry if you’ve said before and I’ve missed that.

i did not say, i seemed to have forgot, But in Ryzen master and CPUZ says 2133. and Bios says it aswell

Are you entering the timings or using XMP profile?

You should try XMP profile first, just set it to on/xmp and then select the speed you want to try.

i couldent Find XMP in my Bios

Oh, sorry I forgot it's different on Asus BIOS/UEFI, I think it's either manual or tweaker then.

i found some Profile i cant rememver the same of D.O.C.P. or something it seems to have boosted clock speeds but CPUZ shows not 2666

Pics?, I don't have that board or bios, so can't see what you are seeing.

Ok, had a quick google, apparently XMP can even be seen in EZ mode. It says like "XMP - disabled" approx half way down. Set that to enabled/profile/  then more options come up that you can set to 2666 for example.
