I turned on my computer today and noticed 8gb of my 16gb were "hardware reserved." I noticed in my UEFI settings it says single channel memory mode (picture provided). I'm not sure if this is related to the problem, but i can't understand what any of the settings in the UEFI mean. I also saw some people mention it was windows causing the problem, but none of the fixes i found worked.20171010_141922.thumb.jpg.e6697dd0a755c7c2d0374d5f3312b1ba.jpg59dd2013557eb_untitled(2).thumb.png.95e2e0f7b384c7f8adad5707b5ef474a.png

Usually this points to a failed or about to fail stick of RAM. Remove one stick at a time and see which one is bad. Use Memtest86 to confirm.

Turns out one of my sticks are bad. What can cause this? The RAM is only 2 months old and it was just working yesterday

It happens. Not very often, but anything can fail at a moment's notice really.
