1500 USD?

What do you need CUDA for? What programs are being used?

What kind of videos are being edited?

Do you need a copy of windows? Are any peripherals needed?

Omg every planning build: pls include location, budget and currency. Also very important is use case and details. Thank you.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

For that is all I need, For the Emperor of Man, Jen-Hsun Huang, protects. We march for Nvidia, and we shall know no fear!

Why does it matter what kind of videos are being edited? CUDA is needed for Premiere CC. Even though CC supports OpenCL, CUDA just outperforms it by far. Don't need windows or any peripherals. US Currency.

How does CUDA outperform OpenCL? OpenCL tends to be better for video encoding...

If you're editing 4k, you'd need a faster stratchdisk than normal etc.

If you're editing professionally, it might be worth putting more money into raid for data security. etc.

It'd be in your best interest to answer questions regarding the build and give any extra info that may be relevant.

Ok I understand. To answer the questions, I don't need a RAID setup, and a scratchdrive would be needed for Premiere. And I don't know where you're looking but OpenCL has a lot to mature ( at least in Premiere) before it catches up to CUDA.

I've been trying to find Premiere benchmarks that I've linked several times before about opencl vs cuda encoding for CS6 but I can't seem to find them. Anyway, the results were that OpenCL tended to be quite a bit more power than cuda and I'm thinking this should have been improved by CC. Since I can't find the links, I guess I'll just stick with CUDA for the build recommendation.
