~$700 Portable Gaming Computer

Hello! I have a friend whose parents are divorced, and wants to get into PC gaming. He plans to game on his televisions (he has a desk as well as a television in each of his bedrooms) and he has a budget of $700. The goal of this build would be to be portable enough so that he could take it from one house to the other with relative ease, as well as fit into his budget. It isn't 700 for the computer, it is 700 for the computer, operating system, and peripherals (minus monitors). I have made a small list on pcpartpicker, but I could use some help on making it a little cheaper and maybe making it use a 1060 3GB mini instead of a 1050ti mini. Also, he needs to use a wireless network adapter, and there are no extra PCIE slots for one, so I have to use a USB. It is also using an 8th gen i3, the 8100.

He plans to play PUBG, maybe GTA5, maybe the newest COD, and maybe Overwatch. All at 1080p or lower.

Good choices all around, though there is no need for that cryorig cooler.  drop it and get either a more powerful 1050 ti (they can OC to 1060 3gb like performance) or a 1060

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Would the stock cooler fit and be okay for cooling? Also would a non mini 1050ti fit?

Yes and yes (though not all, like the MSI Gaming X one)

Any Intel CPU with a SKU that doesn't end in a "K" is probably going to be fine with a stock cooler (as long as one doesn't mind the extra noise).

I can't wait forever. And 144 sounds decent for a mobo?

I sort of agree but at the same time OP's buddy can get an 8700K down the line so I'd stick with it

Not the worst but not great either.  Still a way better option than last gen i3 + mobo

I also doubt that Z370 will be the only chipset available.

Sorry, I didn't mean sound card. I meant wifi card. Your motherboard has built in wifi.

@jtmoseley I'd also get a different case, something like a Silverstone SG13.

Only thing I would change is the PSU to a Corsair CX450M. Just make sure you get the 2017 version.

Not recommending fo looks, both are solid GPU's performance wise.  The zotac one is actually better
