I know, it's an odd question, here's why I need a tiny LCD monitor:

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2900 III server with onboard GFX that cannot be disabled. I have a PCIe video card as well, which is fine, this drives my main displays.

However, I still need to plug something into the onboard VGA port, because I need to see bootup process (RAID, etc.) and since the drive is encrypted, enter in passphrase. Until that part is done, the PCIe video card won't initialize. What I have been doing is unplugging one of the main monitors (DVI) attach adapter, plug it into the onboard VGA port, watch it boot up, then switch back, which is kind of tedious, so my thought is some kind of tiny LCD panel to drive the onboard just for booting, but my Google-fu is failing me on something affordable (or used, I'm easy)

Ideas, pointers, directions?

From a very quick google search i can find a 7" monitor, though at the price, it really isn't worth it lol.

I'll look a bit more.

This may work for you, say's its for raspberry pi but it has a HDMI input (obviously have to use an adapter) but can't see why it wouldn't work for a pc.

Do any of your main monitors have multiple inputs on them?  Most if not all do.  I would just run an additional cable from the onboard video to one of these extra inputs, using an adapter if necessary, and then you don't need to do any relpugging.  Depending on the monitor, it may switch inputs automatically, or it may require you to hit a button.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I never thought of that, but I'll go have to look, they're kind of old and I've been meaning to upgrade them.
