Hi,

Current PC config is:

Ryzen 1600 / Gigabyte AB350N-Wifi / MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X plus / 2 x Corsair 3200MHz LPX DDR4
Samsung 850 PRO 128GB SSD / WD RED 2TB + WD GREEN 2TB / Case: Phanteks P400S TG

CPU is cooled by Kraken X62 with front placed radiator (intake fans) and two BQ purewings2 120mm fans (one on the back and one on top).

I'm not a big fan of OC (using this PC for work/games) but trying to configure the best airflow to keep temps as low as possible. My target is to have lower temps and relative quietness.

Idle temps are: CPU 34C (32-33 Liquid temp) & GPU 38C and stress CPU 76C and GPU 71C.

I'm thinking about reconfiguration of the airflow - the question is: is it worth it or not. maybe there are some obvious improvements I don't know about. I think intake is poor now.

It looks like in the pic below.

As I can mount radiator only on the front - does it make sense to have intake from the back/top and exhaust on front. Apart of dusty filters it will blow hot air from the inside thru the rad. Actually it's same now - hot air is pushed inside :)

Do you think push/pull config will help with sth?

I'm also thinking about replacing kraken x62 fans and add 2 extra to have push/pull config. What high static pressure fans you can recommend.

Thanks!

As far as I know, your airflow config is what most people tend to do so no need to change it. Some good static pressure fans are Corsair ML120/140

PC Specs:

CPU: Intel i9 12900K

CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H150i Elite Capellix

Mother Board: MSI z690 carbon WiFi

RAM: Corsair DDR5 6400MT/S

Storage: 2TB Samsung 970 Plus NVMe, 240 SanDisk SSD Plus, Crucial MX300 750GB SSD

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090Ti FE

Case: Phanteks NV5

PSU: Corsair RM1000X

OS: Windows 11 Home

Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU 27" 1440p @ 165hz

Hi.

Do you think it's worth to buy additional ML140 and mount it to get push/pull config instead of only push?

Tech specs of what I have and corsair / no big difference.

Corsair ML140 140mm PWM Magnetic Levitation Fan 2Pack
Airflow 20 - 97 CFM
Static Pressure 0.2 - 3.0 mm-H20
Noise 16 - 37 dBA
Speed 400 - 2000 RPM

NZXT AER P
Airflow 27.27 - 98.17 CFM
Aer P140: 0.21 - 2.71 mm-H20
Noise    21 - 38dBA
Speed 500 - 1800 +/- 300RPM

The other question is, do I need to look for PWM fan as the Kraken X62 is steering fans using voltage? - I'm not sure about it.

I've ordered 140 Corsair ML packet after spending several hours of watching videos, reviews etc. Good value for it's price and I think I need push/pull instead of push only.

Edit: Due to high noise even at 7V, decided to change it to Noctua NF-A14 Industrial 2000
